Ming Liu

Ming Liu is an accomplished leader in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as the Senior Director of Machine Learning at WEX, where efforts focus on developing an AI/ML platform to modernize ML Ops. Previously, at Marqeta, Ming Liu directed AI and Machine Learning initiatives, enhancing fraud risk models and improving credit underwriting. At Credit Karma, leadership involved building AI/ML models to support a personalized financial marketplace and prevent fraud, while also overseeing data science modeling at Intuit for various customer-focused enhancements. Earlier roles included Head of Algo at Apple, Engineering Manager at eBay, and Senior Research Scientist at Akiira Media System, emphasizing expertise in machine learning, data mining, and algorithm development. Ming Liu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Science and Technology of China.
