Benjamin Nelson

Benjamin Nelson currently serves as a Planning & Roads Forester at Weyerhaeuser since January 2024, having previously held the position of Forester. Prior experience includes a Forest Operations Internship at The Westervelt Company, where involvement included timber cruising, GIS data collection, and infrastructure planning tool development. Benjamin also completed project management internships at Smith’s Inc. of Dothan and Reeves Young, working on site at a Lockheed Martin project and wastewater treatment plant additions, respectively. An earlier role as a Draftsman at LMC Manufacturing Inc. involved using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD, while a prior position as a Press Brake Operator focused on manufacturing sheet metal parts. Benjamin earned a degree in Biosystems Engineering with a focus on Forestry from Auburn University between 2018 and 2023.
