Gene Nemirovsky has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Gene started their career as a Field Service Engineer at MEDX Incorporated in 1993 and later worked as an Electronic Technician at Stereo Exchange from 1992 to 1995. Nemirovsky then joined Shure Incorporated as a Senior Development Engineer in 1996, where they designed electronics for professional audio products and developed radio interference filters. Gene left Shure Incorporated in 2003. In 2001, Nemirovsky started their own consulting company called Nemirovsky Engineering Consulting, where they provided electrical and audio engineering consulting services to pro audio firms and engineering start-ups. Gene also worked as a Live Sound and Recording Audio Engineer at Joy of Audio, specializing in live sound mixing for various genres of music. From 2001 to 2008, they served as the Head Sound Engineer and Sound Engineer at HotHouse CIPEX and Uncommon Ground, managing audio staff, optimizing hardware choices, and maintaining audio and video equipment. In 2022, Nemirovsky briefly worked at The Field Museum as an Audio/Video/Media Supervisor. Lastly, in 2023, they joined WFMT as a Production and Broadcast (Engineering) Manager. In addition to their work experience, Nemirovsky also held the role of Adjunct Faculty Member at Columbia College Chicago starting in 2020.

From 1985 to 1992, Gene Nemirovsky attended Abu Rayhon Beruniy Nomidagi Toshkent Davlat Texnika Universiteti, where they earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Industrial Electronics.
