Ben Chan

Ben Chan is currently the Director of Equity, People, Inclusion, & Culture at the Working Families Party, a role they began in 2025. A graduate of CUNY Hunter College with a degree in history and a minor in Asian American studies, Ben's journey has been shaped by personal experiences with racism and a commitment to social justice that began in childhood. They previously worked in various capacities, including as a paralegal at the Center for Family Representation, where they transitioned into operational leadership after earning their J.D. from New York Law School in 2010. Ben's diverse interests include boxing statistics and long-distance running, achievements that are complemented by their dedication to community organizing and equity initiatives.
