Sara Ackerman has extensive experience in digital communications and campaign strategy. Currently serving as the Deputy Digital Director for the Working Families Party since December 2020, Ackerman manages national outreach and communications. Previous roles include Online Organizer at PowerThru Consulting, Senior Digital Campaigner and Deputy Campaign Organizer with the Working Families Party, and a Digital Organizer for the Freedom to Marry campaign, which successfully achieved nationwide marriage equality. Notable achievements also include strategizing for major clients at Blue State Digital and coordinating a national divestment campaign with Move Your Money. Ackerman’s education includes a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, completed in 2009.
