Sarah Johnson has a robust background in political activism and organizational leadership. They served as the Executive Director of Local Progress from 2015 to 2023 and previously held various roles including NYC Elections Director and Managing Director at the Working Families Party. Sarah also worked as a Political Organizer for SEIU Local 32BJ and managed a campaign for Jesus Gonzalez for State Assembly in 2011. They began their career in education as an English Teaching Assistant with Fulbright Korea and later participated as a Coro Fellow at the Coro New York Leadership Center. Sarah holds an MS in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute and a BA in English from Williams College.
