Kara Manning serves as the Director of Music Content and Communications at WFUV Public Radio, where responsibilities include hosting and producing the UKNY program, as well as contributing written features for NPR. With a diverse background, Kara has worked as a freelance writer, talent/music booker, music supervisor, and playwright since 2002, with notable projects such as music supervision for the films "What We Do Next" and "Match." Previously, Kara held the position of Literary Manager at The Irish Repertory Theatre, where a New Works Reading Series was inaugurated to support emerging playwrights. Kara's earlier experience includes serving as Senior Producer/Writer for MTV's "The TRL Weekend Countdown" and as a Reporter for MTV News. Educationally, Kara holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbia University.
