Jo O'Brien

Jo O'Brien is a Principal Civil Engineer with extensive experience in civil infrastructure design and program management. They began their career at Aurecon as a Civil Engineer before joining Tonkin Consulting in 2010, where they held various leadership roles, including NT Program Manager and QLD Program Manager. Throughout their tenure, Jo was responsible for project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and business growth, while also contributing to industry associations as the vice president for the QLD Division of the Institute of Public Works Engineers Australasia. Currently, they are at WGA as a Principal Engineer and are exploring new opportunities after nearly 15 years at Tonkin Consulting. Jo remains passionate about delivering impactful projects and leading high-performing teams.
