Sharon Merrell

Sharon Merrell is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in various roles within the broadcasting industry. Currently serving as a Multimedia Specialist at WGEM TV since April 2023, Sharon has held significant positions such as Regional Account Executive and Account Executive at Staradio Corp from June 2022 to March 2023. Prior experience includes Vice President and General Manager at Sinclair Media of Idaho LLC and Nexstar Media Group, Inc. from October 2021 to July 2022 and February 2020 to June 2021, respectively. Additionally, Sharon was the General Manager at Sinclair Broadcasting of Illinois, LLC from April 2015 to February 2020 and the Director of Sales at KHQA-TV for a brief period in early 2015. Sharon's career began in November 1998 as General Manager and Sales Manager at WNTZ-TV FOX 48, which spanned until January 2015. Sharon obtained a degree from Northwestern State University from 1988 to 1992.
