Thomas Flaherty serves as the General Manager and Chief Executive of Westfield Gas & Electric since January 2004, overseeing a municipal utility that provides services to over 18,000 electric customers, 10,000 natural gas customers, and 15,000 Whip City Fiber customers, with annual revenues exceeding $110 million. Flaherty has also held the position of Commissioner for the Westfield Gas & Electric Municipal Utility, including roles as Chairman and Vice Chairman. Prior experience includes serving as Regional Sales Director at both Sprague Operating Resources LLC and Global Partners LP, focusing on consultative sales of energy commodities in the Northeastern US. Flaherty's career began with roles in energy sales and management at Hess Corporation, Select Energy, and Western Massachusetts Electric Co. Flaherty graduated with a BSBA in Business from Western New England University.
