Andrew Abernethy

Andrew Abernethy is an accomplished academic and educator in the field of Old Testament studies, currently serving as the Associate Dean of Bible and Theology Graduate Programs and Professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College since June 2014. Prior roles include Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Old Testament at Ridley Melbourne, where Andrew taught various subjects related to the Old Testament, and additional teaching positions at Moody Bible Institute, Trinity International University, and North Park University. Andrew's educational background includes a PhD in Theological Studies with a focus on the Old Testament from Trinity International University and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts from Bethel College. Andrew's commitment to serving Christ and advancing His kingdom is reflected in a comprehensive teaching and research agenda focused on the Old Testament, including subjects such as Introduction to the Old Testament, Elementary Hebrew, and Hermeneutics.
