Jeff Beaird

Jeff Beaird serves as the Manager of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure at Wheaton College since June 2007, overseeing the college's enterprise data network and Linux server environment. Responsibilities include managing, designing, maintaining, and defending digital assets, with expertise in DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and digital certificates. Prior experience includes a role as a Network/Systems Engineer, where implementation of a system provisioning infrastructure led to a 100% reduction in management overhead and a 70% improvement in security and configuration standards. Additionally, Jeff worked as a Programmer/Analyst at Hesburgh Libraries, optimizing a Red Hat cluster for library websites, and as a Computer Operations Supervisor at Buswell Memorial Library, managing diverse server systems and integrating Linux servers into Wheaton College's data center. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Wheaton College.
