Joy Chilala

Joy Chilala is a dedicated professional with a background in social work and higher education student development. As a Graduate Resident Advisor at Wheaton College since July 2023, Joy fosters a supportive residential community and leads campus-wide events for student engagement. Previously, Joy served as a Match Grant Intern at Bethany Christian Services, providing financial mentorship and maintaining client case records. Experience as a Resident Assistant at Cornerstone University included designing community events focused on student well-being and assisting in hall operations, while an internship with International Friendships, Inc. involved planning events for international students. Joy's work history also includes sales roles at M and N Hardware and MTN Zambia, and a rewarding stint as a Student Missionary teaching literacy skills to children. Joy holds a degree in Social Work from Cornerstone University and is pursuing further education in higher education student development at Wheaton College.
