Kristen Brown

Kristen Brown is a seasoned professional in the fields of art education and therapy, with extensive experience in both teaching and mentorship roles. Currently serving as a Reading Therapist at Syllables Learning Center since January 2019 and as an Adjunct Professor at Wheaton College since July 2018, Kristen provides guidance to Community Art & Missions majors. Kristen has also worked as an Art Instructor for the City of Roswell, Georgia, and as a full-time carer for an individual with myalgic encephalomyelitis. Previous roles include Executive Artistic Director and Director of Education for Baltimore United Viewfinders, where Kristen was involved in community-focused art projects and educational programming. Kristen holds a Master’s Degree (MFA) in Community Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College.
