Laura S. Meitzner Yoder

Director, Human Needs And Global Resources Program; Professor Of Environmental Studies

Laura S. Meitzner Yoder serves as the Director of the Human Needs and Global Resources Program and a Professor of Environmental Studies at Wheaton College since July 2013. Previously, Laura held the position of Associate Professor in Sustainability and Environmental Education at the Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College from July 2011 to June 2013. Other notable roles include Deputy Director and Social Forestry lecturer at the School for Field Studies, Associate Director and Senior Fellow at the International Sustainable Development Studies Institute, and Visiting Professor of Biology/Anthropology at Semester At Sea / ISE. Laura has extensive educational background, obtaining a Ph.D. in Social Ecology from Yale University and a M.P.S. in International Agriculture and Rural Development from Cornell University, in addition to prior degrees from the Australian National University, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, and Messiah University.
