Wendy Smith, PsyD, currently serves as the Director of The Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic and Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Wheaton College since July 2020. Prior to this role, Wendy operated as a Clinician at Cedar Tree Counseling from August 2019 to August 2023 and was a Board Member for the Roseland Lighthouse of Chicago, a community development center dedicated to supporting underserved populations. Wendy's experience includes serving as an Assessment Specialist at Monarch Clinics and completing Clinical Psychology Doctoral Internships at Outreach Community Counseling Center and Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling Center. Additional experience includes externships in advanced therapy at the Healing Trauma Treatment Program at the University of Chicago and SamaraCare Counseling, as well as serving as a Therapy Extern at Wheaton College Counseling Center. Education includes a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, a Master’s in Christian Counseling from Cairn University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Ohio State University.
