Brian Smith

Brian Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in the IT industry. Brian is currently serving as the Director of IT Operations at Wheeler Bio, Inc. since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Cytovance Biologics as a Sr Information Technology Infrastructure Architect from November 2018 to November 2022.

Before joining Cytovance Biologics, Brian worked at Northrop Grumman Corporation as a VMware / Windows Systems Administrator from June 2014 to October 2018. Brian started their career at Dell in 2001 and held various roles during their tenure, including Account Service Management Advisor from January 2011 to February 2014, Technical Account Management Senior Analyst from January 2005 to January 2011, CSD Network Engineer / Senior Analyst from November 2003 to January 2005, CSD Tech / Analyst from February 2002 to November 2003, and CSD Network Tech / Specialist from March 2001 to February 2002.

Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network engineering, and technical support. Brian has successfully handled critical situations, managed support cases, and contributed to the development of information repositories and procedures.

From 2014 to 2015, Brian attended Western Governors University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology.

Between 2004 and 2008, they studied at Austin Community College, focusing on Mechanical Engineering. However, they did not obtain a degree during this period.

In 1998 and 1999, Brian attended Oklahoma City Community College, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering while also obtaining an A.S.E. Certification.

From 1995 to 1996, they studied Mechanical Engineering at Oklahoma State University, but did not earn a degree.

In 1994 and 1995, Brian attended Southern Nazarene University, focusing on Aviation and Primary Ground Instruction, but did not obtain a degree.

Brian completed their high school education at Yukon High School from 1991 to 1995 and received a High School Diploma. Brian pursued various subjects during this time.

Additionally, Brian obtained the VMware Certified Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization certification from VMware in July 2018.
