Matt O'Whene

Matt O'Whene currently serves as a First Officer at Wheels Up since July 2022. Prior to this role, Matt worked as a Pilot Instructor at Aperture Aviation from August 2021 to July 2022, providing ground and flight instruction in a two-crew environment. Matt has experience as a Certified Flight Instructor at CAE from January 2020 to December 2020, focusing on ground and flight training for airline-centered programs. Matt earned a Commercial License with instrument rating, CFI, CFII, and MEI as a student at ATP Flight School in early 2019. Earlier in Matt's career, time was spent as a Research Associate at Monsanto Company and DuPont Pioneer, where responsibilities included in-field testing of corn and piloting UAVs for data collection. Matt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Plant Sciences from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, obtained from 2008 to 2011.
