Ryo Kimura is currently a Senior Operations Research Scientist at Wheels Up, where they apply their expertise in operations research. Previously, Ryo held a similar position at Wayfair from 2019 to 2023, where they developed automated inventory planning applications and optimization tools that resulted in significant cost savings and enhancements to fulfillment network efficiency. Ryo began their career as a Data Analysis Intern at Compassionate Care Hospice in 2016 and also served as a Research Fellow at GE Global Research in 2017. Ryo earned both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Oberlin College.
