Víctor Calderón

Victor Calderon has a strong background in financial risk management, quantitative analytics and modeling, and academic research. Víctor began their career as an assistant researcher at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile in 2009 before moving on to LarrainVial as a Risk Analyst in 2012. Over the next five years at LarrainVial, they steadily progressed into roles of greater responsibility, first as the Deputy Manager of Financial Risks and Performance, and then as the Senior Quantitative Analyst. Victor left LarrainVial in 2017 to join Pacifico Research as a Senior Quantitative Analyst, where they were tasked with building and implementing models for financial projections of sovereign debt and derivatives. In 2022, they joined Buda.com as Risk Manager for Crypto-Backend Loans. Finally, in 2023, they were appointed Financial Risk and Business Intelligence Manager at wherEX.

From 2004 to 2011, Víctor Calderón attended Universidad de Santiago de Chile, where they obtained a degree in Ingeniero Matemático in the field of Mathematics.
