Jo Shields

Jo Shields is an experienced professional in environmental sustainability with over 25 years of work in the Higher Education and Community Housing sectors. They have held significant roles, including Associate Head of Sustainability at Loughborough University and Head of Sustainability & ESG at whg, where they have driven initiatives for embedding sustainability into core strategies and managing environmental performance. Jo earned an MSc in Environmental Management and has contributed as a board member of the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges. Currently, they serve as a Carbon Literacy Facilitator and continue to actively support community projects and behavior change initiatives.
