Rachael Buchanan is an experienced podcast producer currently working for Boffin Media, producing the "Behind the Headlines" podcast for the Headlines Network since April 2022. Additionally, Rachael has been a freelance content producer since October 2021 and serves on the independent advisory panel for Which? since 2020. Rachael’s prior experience includes over two decades at BBC News, where roles included Medical Producer and Senior Science Producer, focusing on medical science and public health stories. Rachael also participated in the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship at MIT from August 2014 to May 2015, and worked as a producer for BBC Breakfast News. Rachael began a career in journalism as a Parliamentary Assistant to Jon Owen Jones MP from 1992 to 1997. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Wales, College Cardiff.
