Elio Lopes, Ph.D, serves as Engineering Senior Manager of Operational Excellence at Whirlpool Corporation, with an extensive career beginning in June 2002. Lopes is responsible for New Product Launches across various appliances and oversees teams across four manufacturing plants. Previously, Lopes held the role of Operational Excellence Program Manager, managing a significant expansion project in Ottawa, OH, which optimized production flow and increased productivity. Lopes successfully implemented R600a technology, producing millions of refrigerators while reducing costs. Additional experience includes overseeing equipment development, leading quality assurance initiatives, and contributions to multiple managerial roles at previous companies.
