Mark Altaha

Tribal Historic Preservation Officer / Cultural Resource Advisor

Mark Altaha is a Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and Cultural Resource Advisor with the White Mountain Apache Tribe, a position held since 1999. Prior to this role, Mark served in the US Army at Schofield Barracks from 1996 to 1999 and worked as a Forest Tech with BIA Forest Management from 1985 to 1995, where responsibilities included conducting surveys and preparing timber sales. Mark earned an Associate's degree in General Studies from Bacone College between 1982 and 1984.
