WHITEvoid
WHITEvoid works at the intersection between design and technology. Here the expertise and collective work of our teams combine to help create the basis of a completely new media and event technology. The studio is comprised of specialists in art, media, and product design as well as interior architecture and electronic engineering. WHITEvoid focuses on large-scale projects at locations that attract a high amount of visitors. Our installations are- amongst others- suitable for exhibitions, from museums to trade shows, as well as cultural and recreational events, such as festivals, concerts, and clubs. The studio was founded in 2004 by the light artist and media designer Christopher Bauder. Bauder is best known for his expansive light art installations, including the LICHTGRENZE, which was realized as part of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Christopher Bauder and WHITEvoid have exhibited their installations and performances around the world, including the Pompidou Centre in Paris, MUTEK Festival Montreal, CTM and Transmediale Berlin, Festival of Lights in Lyon, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing. Their latest project SKALAR, conceived alongside music producer Kangding Ray, has already received more than 160,000 visitors in Berlin, Zurich, Amsterdam, and Mexico City. WHITEvoid has also been awarded with several international prizes, including "Red Dot Design Award", "iF Communication Design Award", "Deutscher Lichtdesignpreis", "Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland", and the “Annual Multimedia Award”.
