Lawrence DeBlasio has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Lawrence began their career in 1993 as an Assistant Treasurer at The Chase Manhattan Bank and later worked as an Assistant Vice President at The Bank of New York from 1999 to 2005. In 2006, they joined Prudential Financial as the Director of Global Security, where they served until 2011. Following that, they held roles as Director of Asset Protection Operations at Saks Fifth Avenue in 2012 and Director of Security Operations at Heightened Security Inc from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as the Manager of Public Safety at New York University. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Security at the Whitney Museum of American Art, where they have been since 2017.
Lawrence DeBlasio holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Organizational Behavior and Operations Management, which they obtained from NYU Stern School of Business in the years 1998 to 2004. Lawrence also attended LaSalle Academy from 1981 to 1984. In addition, they obtained a Management & Leadership Certificate in Security Management from Georgetown University. Recently, Lawrence has become a member of the ASIS Community Steering Committee.
