Michelle Grabner

Michelle Grabner is a curator currently serving as the 2014 Whitney Biennial Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art and as the Portland2016 Biennial Curator at Disjecta Contemporary Art Center. They have been a Professor of Painting and Drawing at The Art Institute of Chicago since 1996 and were an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1997 to 2003. Michelle holds an MFA in Art Theory and Practice from Northwestern University, as well as a Master's degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
