Helen Weir

Helen Weir is an accomplished operations and infrastructure leader with extensive experience in IT service management and support. Currently serving as the Director of Operations & Infrastructure at Wickes since August 2022, Helen previously held key positions at A.S. Watson Group as Head of Services & Infrastructure, and at Sainsbury's Digital, Tech and Data as Service Operations Manager, where accountability for the operational stability of IT hardware and applications was paramount. Helen's career also includes significant roles at Tesco PLC, where responsibilities spanned from Head of Technology Support Office to Head of Infrastructure Delivery, encompassing operational management, budget control, and project leadership across various IT initiatives. An alumnus of the University of York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics, Helen began her career as an IT Graduate Trainee at Tesco in 1997.
