Mark George

Mark George is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience across various industries and senior leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Wickes since July 2022, Mark previously held the same position at The Gym Group from October 2018 to July 2022. Mark's career includes significant roles at Auto Trader UK as Deputy CFO, and a series of positions at Tesco PLC, including Finance Director for UK Retail Operations and UK Planning & Analysis. Mark also served as Digital Director and Investor Relations Director at Tesco, where contributions included building Tesco's online entertainment business and managing communications with the investment community. Earlier experience includes Vice President of Corporate Development at FLAG Telecom and a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. Mark holds a degree from the University of Oxford.
