Abhas Tripathi

Abhas Tripathi is an experienced professional in trust and safety management, currently serving as the Trust & Safety Manager at Wikimedia Foundation since March 2022, where leadership is provided to the Disinformation team to combat disinformation attacks targeting Wikipedia projects and volunteer communities. Prior experience includes work as a Product Policy Manager at ByteDance, focusing on misinformation and platform integrity, as well as roles in technology policy and research at organizations such as Access Partnership, Aptiv, and the National University of Singapore. Abhas began a career in applications development at Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. and previously worked as a Technology Outreach Specialist at Google, where user trust and safety were prioritized. Abhas holds multiple Master of Public Policy degrees from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Hertie School, along with a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
