Ahmon joined the Wikimedia Foundation in May 2005, and has since been working as a Senior Software Engineer. Ahmon has made significant contributions to the development of various software projects at the Foundation, including the MediaWiki software that powers Wikipedia.

Ahmon Dancy's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley. Ahmon then went on to earn a certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
