John Bennett

John Bennett is the current Director of Engineering at Wikimedia Foundation. John has held this position since January 2018. Prior to that, they were the Director of Security for the organization from July 2007 to April 2017. John has also worked as a Security Associate for Bishop Fox and as a Manager, Application Security for Quest Diagnostics. In addition, they have served as a Senior Network Analyst/Security Officer for Mercy Hospital.

John Bennett has a BS in Biology from Pittsburg State University.

John Bennett reports to Selena Deckelmann, Chief Product & Technology Officer. John Bennett works with Olja Dimitrijevic - Director, Data Engineering, Margeigh Novotny - Senior Director of Product Design & Strategy, and Mat Nadrofsky - Director of Engineering.
