Wilcox Limousines was a leading British family coachbuilder, established in 1948 and owned and operated by the Wilcox family across multiple generations.

For over 70 years, the business designed and manufactured new and used funeral vehicles, limousines and specialist vehicles, including customised and armoured platforms. It built a reputation as one of Europe’s largest providers of funeral vehicles, offering hearses, limousines, private ambulances, removal vans and Hearsettes® across a wide range of marques including Bentley Flying Spur, Mercedes, Nissan electric, Jaguar, Vauxhall, Volvo and Ford.

At its peak, the company employed over 150 people across two UK locations and was recognised for innovative design, engineering capability and a breadth of product offering unique within the sector.

The business entered administration in 2026 following a sustained period of cost inflation, supply chain disruption and delays to new product introductions, which placed significant pressure on cashflow and working capital.

Wilcox remains proud of its heritage, its people and its contribution to the funeral profession over more than seven decades.
