Wild Atlantic Studios is a virtual production and creative technology initiative based on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Through our work in digital production, real-time workflows and creative technology, we are helping shape the development of a next-generation Virtual Production environment in the Republic of Ireland, designed to support film production, high-end television drama and real-time storytelling.

At the heart of the wider vision is a flexible virtual production arena centred around a large curved LED volume for in-camera VFX and real-time environments powered by Unreal Engine.

The proposed studio concept includes:
• a curved LED volume for cinematic environments
• motorised main stage infrastructure
• movable LED “wild walls” for extended scenes
• an LED ceiling system for lighting and reflections control
• real-time rendering clusters and camera tracking

This modular approach is intended to support different production scales and creative setups, including film production, television drama, performance capture, XR productions and real-time filmmaking workflows.

Alongside this development work, Wild Atlantic Studios already produces award-winning digital productions and develops innovative remote production technologies, including our custom low-impact OB Backpack system for outdoor broadcasting.

Our mission is to help establish Ireland’s west coast as a new destination for virtual production and real-time filmmaking, while supporting local talent, enabling international collaboration and strengthening the regional creative economy. Our long-term vision is to contribute to a high-quality centre for film, television, immersive media, education and research, helping place the Wild Atlantic Way on the international virtual production map.
