John Vassallo

John Vassallo is a digital character animator with extensive experience in feature films, television, and games. Currently serving as the Head of Animation at WildBrain, they specialize in character animation focused on emotional performance and character acting. John has held significant roles at prominent studios, including Senior Character Animator at Sony Pictures Imageworks and Weta Digital, and they contributed to notable projects like "Big Hero 6" and "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." They also have mentoring and instructional experience gained through roles at Animation Mentor and AnimSchool. John holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from the College for Creative Studies.
