Shaun Smith

Shaun Smith is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public relations, corporate communications, and literary endeavors. As the Co-founder and Director of "This Is Not A Reading Series," Shaun programmed numerous public literary events in Toronto from 2003 to 2007. At WildBrain, from June 2014 to May 2022, Shaun led the global communications strategy and developed the company's first integrated communications function, enhancing its brand and messaging across multiple regions. Shaun's publishing history includes the Young Adult novel "Snakes & Ladders" with Dundurn Press in 2009 and the journalism collection "Magical Narcissism" with Tightrope Books in 2013. Additionally, Shaun has a background in journalism, having contributed to notable publications and served as a columnist for CBC from 2008 to 2011. Shaun holds a degree in Communication and Media Studies from Ryerson University.
