Ava Collins

Ava Collins has worked in the software engineering field since 2008. In 2008, they began their career as a Web Developer at RealNetworks. In 2011, they worked as a Web Developer at Disney Interactive Media Group. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Interactive Web Developer at Nordstrom Direct. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Software Developer II at Apollo Education Group. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Linden Lab. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Porch Group, a Mobile Senior Software Engineer at Lessen, and a Software Engineer at Wildlife Computers. In each role, Ava has contributed to the development of various applications, websites, and widgets, as well as teaching peers and helping to form best practices.

Ava Collins earned their BFA in Imaging Digital Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County between 1996 and 1999. In 2006 and 2007, they obtained a Diploma in Enterprise Solutions Developer from The Johns Hopkins University. In 2009 and 2010, they earned a Certificate in Flash Application Development from the University of Washington. Additionally, they hold a certification in Flash Application Development from the University of Washington.
