Eric Couto

Eric Couto has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of data science. Eric is currently employed at Wildlife Studios as the Data Science Director, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Senior Data Science Manager at the same company from February 2021 to June 2022.

Before Wildlife Studios, Eric worked at Big Data Brasil as a Senior Data Scientist from May 2014 to December 2016. Eric also had a brief stint at B2W Digital, where they worked as an Especialista em Data Mining from March 2014 to May 2014, and as a Data Mining Analyst from May 2011 to February 2014.

Eric's earliest work experience was at COPPE / UFRJ, where they served as a Scientific Initiation Scholarship recipient from August 2007 to March 2010. During this time, they were involved in AI research, specifically in the areas of machine learning and data mining. Eric also contributed to Prolog development and received recognition for their work.

Overall, Eric Couto has held progressively senior positions in the field of data science, showcasing their expertise and experience in the industry.

Eric Couto has an Engineer's degree in Computer and Information Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, which they obtained from 2005 to 2010. Eric also has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Systems and Computer Engineering Program - Artificial Intelligence from COPPE/UFRJ, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. In terms of additional certifications, they have completed courses on various topics such as scalable machine learning, big data with Apache Spark, and introduction to data science, among others.
