Amy Ryan

Amy Ryan has a wide range of work experience, starting in 2009 as an Office Assistant at the Housing & Residential Life Administrative Office. Amy then worked as a Resident Assistant at the Honors College from 2007 to 2010 while also serving as an Office Assistant to the Residential Life Coordinator at the University of Nevada from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, Amy entered the technology industry as a Test Engineer Level I at Gaming Laboratories International, where they focused on the emulation, test automation, and evaluation of electronic gambling personalities. Amy then joined National Security Technologies as an IT Support Staff in 2010, where they designed a new software approval process and conducted vulnerability scanning. Amy moved on to SHFL Entertainment in 2012, first as a Software Engineer - Internet Gaming, and then continued their work when the company was acquired by Bally Technologies. In this role, they focused on server-side operations of interactive/online gaming and worked on projects such as integrating products with William Hill and implementing games within Facebook games. Amy then joined Slickdeals in 2014 as a Web Developer, where their responsibilities included implementing front-end and back-end systems and modernizing the codebase. Amy was later promoted to Senior Full Stack Engineer, where they became a Release Manager for the CI/CD pipeline and provided technical guidance to the team. In 2023, Amy joined Wildfire Systems, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer.

Amy Ryan obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, which they completed in 2017. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2010, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Amy completed their high school education at Westview High School and received a High School Diploma in 2006. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained a Certified Scrum Developer® (CSD®) certification from the Scrum Alliance in July 2021.
