Christene A. Smith

Christene A. Smith, PhD, is currently the Editor-in-Chief of CHEManager International at Wiley, where they lead editorial initiatives and contribute to diversity and inclusion efforts in publishing. Previously, Christene worked as an Acquisitions Editor at De Gruyter, focusing on materials science and industrial chemistry, and chaired an inclusion and diversity sub-committee. They completed postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces after earning their PhD from Queen's University, where they specialized in self-assembled monolayers. Additionally, Christene has experience as a teaching assistant at both St. Francis Xavier University and Queen's University.
