Cliff Whitcomb

Cliff Whitcomb is a distinguished Professor of Practice in the Systems Engineering Program at Cornell University, where they focus on effective interpersonal and team communication skills. They authored "Effective Interpersonal and Team Communication Skills for Engineers," published by Wiley IEEE Press in 2013. With extensive expertise in systems and system-of-systems engineering, Cliff has held notable positions, including Distinguished Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School and Professor at the University of New Orleans. Cliff is also an Editor-in-Chief for the Wiley journal Systems Engineering and a Fellow of both the International Council on Systems Engineering and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. Cliff holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park and additional degrees from MIT and the University of Washington.
