David Roberts

David Roberts is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as the Medical Director for Pathology and Consultant Haematologist at NHS Blood and Transplant since 1998. With extensive expertise in immunohaematology, David has led significant research initiatives, including the INTERVAL blood donor study and the establishment of an MSc training program in Haematology at Muhimbili University in Tanzania. Also, David serves as the Editor in Chief for Transfusion Medicine at Wiley-Blackwell and holds a professorship in Haematology at the University of Oxford. Research interests encompass red cell biology, immunohaematology, haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and health service forecasting models.
