Donna Black

Donna Black is an accomplished educational consultant and author with extensive experience in social-emotional learning (SEL) and psychological services. Currently serving as a Book Author for Wiley, Black authored "Essentials of Social Emotional Learning (SEL): The Complete Guide for Schools and Practitioners," published in November 2021. As the President of the Social Emotional Learning Alliance for Texas, Black promotes SEL integration across schools and communities. With a robust background in consultation, training, and policy advocacy, Black has held positions at several organizations, including Donna Black Consulting, the Academy for Social-Emotional Learning in Schools, and previously as a Board Member for the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Black's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
