Dr William Perry

Dr. William Perry is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cardiff University, specializing in molecular ecology and data-driven analytical approaches to understand biological responses to anthropogenic pressures. With a research emphasis on fish, they utilize environmental DNA and high-throughput sequencing techniques for biodiversity monitoring. Previously, Dr. Perry held positions at Bangor University and the Low Carbon Energy and Environment Research Network Wales, where they managed projects and conducted bioinformatics analyses. They serve as a Senior Editor for the Journal of Fish Biology and as a Publicity Coordinator for the Fisheries Society of the British Isles, furthering their commitment to promoting aquatic research and education. Dr. Perry obtained a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Bangor University and an MSci in Biology from the University of Bristol.
