Edward Pyzer-Knapp

Edward Pyzer-Knapp is a prominent figure in the field of artificial intelligence and computational science, currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder of Xyme since September 2024. In addition to this role, Edward is co-chair and executive group member of the UK Young Academy and has been the Editor in Chief of Applied AI Letters since February 2020. Edward holds a visiting professorship in Industrially Applied AI at the University of Liverpool, contributing to academic discourse in the field. Prior experience includes leading research innovation at IBM in the UK and Ireland and serving as a Research Lead for machine learning and AI. Edward's academic credentials include a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and an MChem degree from Durham University. Edward's early research experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University focusing on the computational design of organic photovoltaics.
