James Carroll

James Carroll is a Professor of Wind Energy Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, where roles include Director of the WAMSS Centre for Doctoral Training and Co-Lead of the Wind Energy and Control Group. Research focuses on failure diagnostics and prognostics for wind turbine components using data-driven techniques. Prior experience includes positions at Wiley as an Editorial Board Member, Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Visiting Professor in Offshore Wind Energy, and roles in project management and development engineering at Vestas and SoWiTec. James holds a PhD in Wind Energy Systems and has contributed significantly to both academic and industry advancements in wind energy.
