Ken Haenen

Member Editorial Advisory Board - Physica Status Solidi at Wiley

Ken Haenen has held various prominent positions at Hasselt University since October 2002, including Vice-Rector for Research, Valorisation, and Internationalisation, and Full Professor of Experimental Physics. Haenen leads the Wide Band Gap Materials (WBGM) group and has chaired the Department of Physics. Additional roles include Director of the Doctoral School of Sciences & Technology and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Sciences. At imec, Ken serves as a Guest Professor, continuing work in WBGM. In the editorial domain, Haenen is the Editor-in-Chief for "Diamond and Related Materials" and "MethodsX," and chairs the International Conference on Diamond and Carbon Materials. Involved with the Materials Research Society and other scientific organizations, Ken contributes to program development and science policy. Educational credentials include a PhD in Physics from Hasselt University and a Master's from KU Leuven.
