Mark Spencer

Mark Spencer has extensive experience in journal management and publishing, currently serving as Senior Manager of Physical Sciences at Wiley since October 2008. In this role, Mark oversees the strategic development of over 150 proprietary and society-owned journals across engineering and mathematical sciences. Previously, Mark held various positions at Wiley, including Publisher for Mathematical Sciences, where responsibilities included managing a team to enhance author experience and overseeing the growth of 40 journals. Mark's background also includes significant roles such as Executive Editor for a portfolio of 25+ physical sciences journals and Senior Editor for 15 top-ranked journals in mathematics and statistics. Prior to Wiley, Mark worked at Springer Science+Business Media and Princeton University Press. Mark holds a BA in English from the University of Mary Washington.
