Mark Sweeney

Mark Sweeney serves as the Senior Director of Process Transformation and Continuous Improvement at Wiley since March 2014, leading a team focused on operational excellence through methodologies such as Kaizen and Lean 6 Sigma. Prior roles at Wiley include Director of Commercial Management and Associate Director of Business Management, where responsibilities encompassed commercial governance and strategic management of Wiley's global journals portfolio. Additionally, Mark is a co-founder and Trustee of the Society for the Study of Sound and Music in Games, where leadership includes establishing governance and launching a scholarly journal. Mark's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology from the University of Oxford, complemented by Master's and Bachelor's degrees in the same field.
