Nikos Viorres

Nikos Viorres is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at both Wiley and Atypon since September 2022. Prior to these roles, Nikos was Chief Technology Officer at Maven Global from September 2021 to September 2022 and held positions at Atypon as Director of Operations and Software Architect from August 2016 to July 2021. Nikos also gained experience as Java Team Lead at Upstream from February 2013 to 2016, where responsibilities included designing and leading the implementation of a data pipeline utilizing Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and AWS. Early career experiences include a role as Software Engineer at Economou International Shipping Agencies from March 2009 to January 2013 and as a researcher at the University of the Aegean from 2002 to 2008. Nikos earned a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Dundee.
